Karen Healy

Supervisor of Elections, Highlands County

 Karen was born in Fort Dix, New Jersey and was raised in an Air Force family. Karen graduated from Sebring High School. She received her B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Central Florida in 1995, graduating with honors. She moved to Port St. Lucie to build a home and worked as the Accreditation Manager for the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office. 

 In 2003, she became Deputy Supervisor for the Honorable Joe Campbell. Karen started her 22+ years in elections on the bottom rung. She took on more administrative roles while working as Assistant Supervisor for the Honorable Penny Ogg. She is a 2015 Leadership Highlands graduate and completed her Master Florida Certified Election Professional (MFCEP) degree that same year.

Karen is married to Michael Healy, Lead Analyst for Highlands County Clerk of Courts Information Technology. Both Karen and Mike attend Bible Fellowship Church in Sebring. It is her honor and privilege to work for the citizens of Highlands County. This is the place she calls home.

Karen is committed to honest, accurate, and secure elections for the voters of Highlands County.
